[RL: Devit; Shito | Backdated to yesterday, I think]
It'd been the worst week that Devit had had in a... Well, actually, it had been one bad week in a series of several bad weeks he'd been having for the past two months, but this definitely ranked up in the top three worst of them. Between Shito disappearing and being left alone in the dorm, he didn't know what to do with himself anymore; there were only so many places he could check and double-check, after all, especially when that video post had made clear that everyone was stuck in a school that apparently didn't exist or something. To top it off, he still hadn't been sleeping well, so he wasn't in a particularly good state of mind. In fact, he was kind of depressed.
Today was no different, unfortunately. There hadn't been any word since that post, and now those dumbass scientists were affected by some stupid virus. He was on his own again.
He sat in Shito's bed, leaning against the headboard and hugging Shito's pillow. It was a pathetic sight, but he couldn't give a fuck less. He stayed that way for some time, not making a move until he heard what sounded like people talking somewhere else in the dorm.
Unsure if it was his imagination (hey, it'd happened a few times already), he frowned and listened carefully.

The next moment, the door was flung open and Shito stood framed in the doorway, looking around his room critically. Finally his eyes landed on Devit. He looked exhausted, and a little angry, but the latter wasn't too unusual.
"We're back," he said simply.

"Shito!"

"What the hell?!" Shito exclaimed, trying to wriggle out from under the Noah.

"Where the fuck did you-- What happened?! I thought--" And then, just as quickly, he was clinging to him again.

He wondered what happened while he was away.
"We were tricked," he said. "Some asshole locked us and the A-Loan guys in the school and told us to fight to the death. But we escaped."
The last three words encompassed something extremely surreal and dangerous that he was still sorting through. He wasn't sure he could explain that part.

He rested his chin on Shito's chest and frowned down at him. "What asshole? Where? Did you kill him?!"
no subject
"Anyway, that doesn't matter now," he said. "Akatsuki and I are leaving town. We quit Z-Loan, and we're going to Hong Kong to deal with the Xu Fu. I assume you want to come help."

He frowned. "We can't trust him, so we're going to go on our own. So long as we make our payments, it's fine. But we won't be doing what he says anymore."
no subject
"But what's with this Hong Kong thing, all of a sudden?" he asked. "I thought you said we couldn't take the Xu Fu down!"

"Finally," he said. He'd been itching to get his hands on some Xu Fu for a while, after all. "Get me the weapon you promised, and I'll help you cut them down!"
no subject
Unlike the ectoplasm weapons that Shito and Chika carried, a real gun wouldn't make it on the plane.

Seemingly content to stay there, Devit continued grinning at Shito for a few moments longer, before finally leaning forward and kissing him lightly.

"Are you all right?" he asked, moving into his room and closing the door. "What did you do while we were gone?"

He didn't mind Devit staying at all, and hugged him a little tighter, though he really did have to pack himself...

The last few words came out a bit awkwardly. It'd taken effort not to say 'we' these past months, as it usually came so naturally, but saying it now felt terribly strange. He didn't like it.
no subject
"Well, that's fine then," he said. "If you don't have anything to pack, then don't." He shifted to untangle himself, intending to move to his computer. "Let me book the plane tickets. It won't take long."
no subject
"Hey, what about the money you guys owe by the end of the month? How's that gonna fit into all this?"
no subject
no subject
"Just like that?" He frowned. "So what, was it like some kind of stupid test or something? What about those guys you were up against?"

"What are you doing?"

"Did you try looking at a map?"
no subject
He didn't really want to ask Chika to do it - that would involve admitting that he had failed at something that was clearly very simple. But he wasn't sure what else to do.

He then typed 'how to buy plane tickets' into the search field, hit enter, and then leaned back as dozens of results came up. "There, try one of those."
no subject
Wow, Googling was really useful. Why hadn't anyone ever showed him this?

He sat back, pleased. See! He could do computer things, too! And now that he knew about Googling, he'd never have to humiliate himself in front of Yuuta and Akatsuki again.
"There we go," he said smugly. "We'll fly out tomorrow."

This was good. Not perfect, of course, but having Shito back lifted his spirits considerably. Maybe things would be okay for a while.

He smiled genuinely as the kiss ended. Yes, maybe things would be okay for a while.
