[RL: Adventures on the ghost ship! Backdated to yesterday morning | Devit; Lavi]
The bedroom certainly wasn't one of the finest the ship had to offer, but at least it had the most basic amenities. There was a bathroom, after all (never mind that the door was partially off its hinges and the sink was perpetually leaking); two, cozy beds that occupied either side of the room (the cleanliness of which were questionable at best); a nightstand between the beds which housed a Bible and a safety pamphlet (in the event that the boat should sink); and a single, flickering light overhead.
It was the light that eventually roused Devit from the first decent amount of sleep he'd gotten in days. Blinking his eyes, he found himself face to face with a wall that he was certain wasn't supposed to be there, even in his groggy haze, and he spent several moments frowning at his shadow as it blinked in and out of view with each flicker of the light, until it occurred to him that he might not be at Tyki's place. His gaze traveled down to the blanket covering him; it was lumpy and dusty-looking and a little itchy against his skin, nothing like the nice linens that Alice always kept clean back on the island.
Definitely not Tyki's place.
With a start, Devit struggled to untangle himself from the blanket and then shot up in bed, glancing around warily.

Lavi had a tendency to sleep like the dead, but he was rather chaotic about it, his limbs were half hanging over the side and the bedding tangled around his body as though trying to pin him in place. The only sign that he was definitely amongst the living was that of his snoring, adding to the orchestra of sounds that already filled the room apart from the dripping sink and all of the natural creaking and moaning of the ship cutting through the water. Despite all of this he slept on without a care in the world, not to mention a total lack of self preservation.
And then, from the darkest recesses of nowhere Lavi poped up, looked around half dazed and then finally fixed his eye on Devit, “what the…”
Right before flopping back against the bed again, passed out. Outrageous.

Devit tensed, his first thought going to straight to Cross, and he quickly searched out the room's exit (or what he hoped was the exit), ready to make a run for it. Before he could even move, though, the bed's occupant jerked up out of nowhere, a move that caused Devit to practically jump out of his skin and quickly hide under the blanket. (He'll later deny this ever happened.)
Then it sunk in. That wasn't Cross. That was...
"You...?!" he said, almost accusingly, as he brought the blanket back down from his eyes. But by the time he'd gotten the word out, Lavi was already passed out on the bed again. Or seemed to be, at any rate.
Devit just blinked and stared at him from across the room.

After an appraisal of the room, Lavi turned his head towards Devit, peering at him from over the nightstand separating their respective beds. This raised an assortment of questions, the one at the top of his list being…what the hell did he do last night? He didn’t remember falling asleep in a room with the Pochi…but that wasn’t the only problem.
"Wha...what the hell are you doin' here, Pochi? Aa...more importantly...where is here?"

He considered launching a pillow at him, anyway.
"How the hell should I know?" he snapped instead. "I just woke up here, same as you!"

Lavi took another look around, this time it was more appraising as though he were seeing it all again for the first time. He was taking in all of the details and committing them to memory, "not much to look at is it...haaa...how unlucky."

He then got up from the bed with a huff and folded his arms over his chest, looking around the room again. Obviously this was some kind of rundown, piece of crap hotel or something, and the goddamn community thought it'd be funny to stick him in a room with Bookman Junior. Great!

Of course this put Lavi in a quandary...on the one hand Devit had so graciously provided him with a second pillow. On the other hand he smacked Lavi in the face with it...what to do...what to do. Well there was only one thing to do really!
Creeping out of his bed Lavi tiptoed his way behind Devit, while the other seemed lost in his brooding, both pillows in hand. Adjusting his position for optimum striking Lavi brought down the pair of pillows on Devit's head.

A quiet, childish giggle emanated from somewhere in the room, but Devit was otherwise preoccupied with wanting to murder the Bookman to notice.
"Son of a-- What the hell is your problem?!" His free hand went for one of the pillows, trying to yank it free of Lavi's grip so he could exact revenge.

Stopping mid-thwap, Devit frowned an looked toward the tiny closet that took up a small section of wall next to the bathroom; the noise seemed to be coming from there... maybe.
"What was that?"
no subject
"I...dunno..." Lavi said nudging Devit towards the closet, "why don't you go find out!"

((OOC: Really, really sorry this took so long! I should've known better than to start something while I was on hiatus. >_> BUT I'M HERE NOW. If you don't want to continue, that's fine! ;3;/))

Once he managed to strut his way behind Lavi he lifted his leg and nudged the Noah with his foot, "now go check it out...do it for the grain fed chicken...buck buck."
[ooc: No worries, I totally understand!]

And, like the manly man he was, Devit stalled briefly, swallowing as he eyed the closet warily, and then slowly crept forward until he reached the door. It wasn't like there was anything to be afraid of! It was just laughing, and little kid laughing at that! Stupid Exorcist really was a goddamn chicken.
Just as Devit was about to open the door, however, there was another laugh, this time coming from the bathroom. He jumped slightly and paused with his hand on the knob. "What the...?"

Keeping past experiences in mind Lavi remained on the sidelines, wordlessly cheering Devit on by spelling out P-O-C-H-I with his limbs...though trying to do an H all by himself was a little awkward so it was more like P-O-C-[series of strange positions before giving up]-I. If for one second he thought the laughter belonged to what he thought it belonged to, he planned on grabbing Devit and getting the hell out of this room...or leaving him in the dust, whatever fancy struck him.
Just as they were about to find out what was behind door number one another laugh interrupted them...or Devit rather...and Lavi turned his head slowly towards the bathroom, "oh, oh...Pochi...now the bathroom's laughing at us I don't think we're alone in here. [captain obvious]"

He took a step back from the closet. "You know what, I'm outta here!" he announced, making his way to the main door. "There's no way in hell I'm gonna be stuck in a room with you!"

Actually he was concerned that outside was going to be just as bad as inside, but as long as Devit was leading the way then why shouldn't he follow?
