While your friendly neighborhood anonystalker doesn't have enough of a grasp of Phoenix's non-cast relationships yet to make suggestions concerning those friends, I can at least attempt to help with the in-cast ones...

Maya is nothing if not easy to please, and her pleasures are relatively simple. At the same time, though, she's got the burden of a pretty major responsibility hefted onto her now. The ideal gift would manage to strike both chords at once, but if you can only hit one or the other that's better than nothing. On that note, I can't help but picture Maya working out SRS BZNZ for Kurain in a large Steel Samurai notebook.

Pearl has a pretty fractured childhood to salvage, despite everyone's best efforts to soften the traumas involved. A good gift for her would be pleasant and lighthearted without being shallow. My thoughts are drifting to high-quality "children's" fiction that's rich enough to have broad appeal among adults, here.

Edgeworth... now he's the hard one. The first thing to do, of course, is to assess just how Phoenix feels at this point and just how good a grasp on those feelings he has. Next is the question of how much he'll try to express or avoid expressing any of it through his choice of gift. (And I still like the idea of one of the pair catching the other shopping for him and stressing over their gift choice, here. ;) ) This is no light matter, after all; with relationships instead of lives at stake, will Phoenix take a big risk, play it safe, strive for a balance, or what?
